Inspired in part by a Native American folktale!
Nada te turbe, nada te espante, quien a Dios tiene nada le falta. Let nothing unsettle you, let nothing frighten you, whomever has God lacks nothing.

Word
"You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world." -1 John 4:4
"Provide moneybags for yourselves that do not wear out, an inexhaustible treasure in heaven that no thief can reach nor moth destroy. For where your treasure is, there also your heart will be.'" -Luke 12: 32-34
"Every creature, and in particular every human person, is the fruit of God's thought, and an act of his love, a love that is boundless, faithful, and everlasting..." -Pope Benedict XVI
"Too often, though, the
beauty that is thrust upon us is illusory and deceitful, superficial
and blinding, leaving the onlooker dazed; instead of bringing him out of
himself and opening him up to horizons of true freedom as it draws him
aloft, it imprisons him within himself and further enslaves him,
depriving him of hope and joy….
"Authentic beauty,
however, unlocks the yearning of the human heart, the profound desire to
know, to love, to go towards the Other, to reach for the Beyond. If we
acknowledge that beauty touches us intimately, that it wounds us, that
it opens our eyes, then we rediscover the joy of seeing, of being able
to grasp the profound meaning of our existence."
-Pope Benedict XVI in his letter Meeting with Artists

Summer Love
Inspired by a lady in one of Scott Schuman's photographs.
Current favorite song: Ave Verum Corpus by W. A. Mozart
Meditation of the day: "Love cannot triumph unless it becomes the one passion of our life. Without such passion we may produce isolated acts of love; but our life is not really won over or consecrated to an ideal. Until we have a passionate love for our Lord in the Most Blessed Sacrament we shall accomplish nothing." -St. Peter Julian Eymard, quote courtesy of blogger Jean Heimann.

Adore Him
Christ as the Holy Eucharist, Love itself...
a true mystery and one that takes faith to trust in. But it is well worth trying to understand, because it is Him and He is dying of love for us!
"I have wept for love of them... they turn away. I will break their hearts of stone, give them hearts for love alone... all who dwell in dark and sin, my hand will save... Finest bread I will provide, till their hearts be satisfied..."
-Jesus in the hymn "Here I Am, Lord"
